Lost an Object in the Aare or a Swiss Lake? It May Not Be Gone Forever
A phone, watch, glasses, or any valuable item dropped into the water may seem impossible to recover. However, in most cases, a rapid intervention makes recovery possible.
Specialized in lost object recovery in Swiss rivers and lakes, I operate as a freediver in the Aare River in Bern as well as in major Swiss lakes. Every mission is unique: current, depth, visibility, and riverbed conditions all vary, and every factor is taken into account to maximize recovery chances.
Thanks to extensive field experience in both moving and still waters, I can quickly adapt the search strategy and operate effectively, even in challenging conditions.
Time is a critical factor: the sooner the intervention takes place, the higher the probability of recovering your item. Natural conditions change rapidly, so do not wait too long to act.
A Precise Method for Recovering What Seems Impossible to Find
Every intervention follows a rigorous methodology, developed through real-world experience to maximize results while ensuring my safety.
The process begins with a detailed discussion to reconstruct the loss area: entry point into the water, current conditions, and estimated trajectory of the object.
I then conduct an initial reconnaissance dive to assess actual conditions, including visibility, depth, underwater terrain, and potential obstacles.
Finally, a series of targeted dives allows me to gradually narrow down the search area until the object is located as accurately as possible.
This methodical approach optimizes every minute spent underwater and significantly increases the chances of success, even in complex environments.
Experience the Aare Safely with an Expert Guide
The Aare is one of Switzerland’s most iconic rivers, but also one of its most demanding. Strong currents, changing water flow, and heavy summer traffic make it a beautiful yet potentially hazardous environment.
I offer personalized guidance in the Aare, allowing you to enjoy the experience safely and confidently.
The standard floating route runs from Schönau Bridge to Marzili Park and typically lasts around ten minutes. Other routes can be arranged according to your preferences.
Before entering the water, we will define together:
the appropriate equipment (life jacket, waterproof bag, flotation board, etc.)
the safety conditions (weather, water flow, river traffic, etc.)
The objective is simple: make the Aare accessible to everyone, even those with no prior experience, while maintaining the highest level of safety possible.
